High steel grades can even be found in your home kitchen.

Stainless steel is a corrosion resistant, durable and lustrous material that is used in many different commercial industries.  Thus, many business owners and project managers find themselves selecting high quality stainless steel.  But how do they do it?  What do they look for?  To find out specifics about what stainless steel grade is right for your project then call one of our stainless steel and nickel alloy bars expert.  In the meantime, here is a brief overview on what is standard for different industries.

For your food processing needs, a Grade 304 is a popular option.  It is chosen the most based upon its ability to endure various acids found in food without becoming corroded or damaged.  Think about citrus fruits.  They contain acid that eats away at other materials on contact.  But the Grade 304 is resistant to such disintegration making it the forerunner for sinks, steam tables and other necessary products in a commercial kitchen.

Due to the high content of salt in the ocean, a water tank or boat needs to be produced from a material that does not falter under such circumstances.  Think about what holds up under such conditions.  Does the material you are choosing rust?  Is there an alloy that works best for this industry?  A high grade stainless steel answers these questions and more.

To find out how to distinguish high quality grades from the rest then just give us a call.  We are here to help you.
